In a world that likes to push you to be busy all the time and pretend you’re always strong, it’s important to know that it’s okay to feel tired, sad, or just plain worn out. It’s okay to want a change, to want to be alone or to want to take a break from it all.
It’s okay to not be okay.
Whatever you are feeling right now, it’s okay to feel it.
You’re not a robot — you’re a living, breathing being with feelings and thoughts. If you keep your emotions suppressed or bottled up, they will grow to become prickly thorns piercing your sides.
However, by acknowledging and processing your feelings, you pave the way for healing and growth.
Just as your body instinctively breathes and pulses, your emotions serve as a reminder of your vitality and humanity — they show that you’re alive. So give yourself permission to feel and take care of yourself. Listen to what your body and mind need: rest, relaxation, and looking after yourself.
Let yourself feel everything that comes up so that you can truly heal.
Then everything will be okay.
